Welcome to the Novaminds.net Library

Each story in our library contains the first few chapters of a novel we have reviewed for plausibility, writing style, and sheer imaginative brainpower. Our submission guidelines will help you, the reader, know what to expect in the stories posted here.

The Incentive, revision 5 by Alan Hazelrig.
(NOTE: Rated PG-13.)

A future society needs people willing to do the dirty work, who have a conscience, but don't dwell on regret. Two men, Red and Blue, live behind the scenes; and work hard to keep it that way.

A Distant Reflection, Book One, revision 5 by Michael J. Penner.
(NOTE: Rated G)
Stopping the scientists, slowing progress, getting life back under control. This is the agenda of a technophobe. The Technocrats embrace technological change as a lifestyle, and their lives just keep getting better. Quite the opposite is true for the technophobes, and so their resentment builds. In anger they begin to organize; very carefully, very quietly, and very effectively.

Even when she was blind, Sarashi Ghotsi's work in nuclear fusion was poised to create a mainstream energy source with unlimited potential. But nanobiotics has given Sarashi the ability to see,
and accelerated her efforts; an intolerable situation for technophobes in a position to do something about it.

The Star Riders - A Broken Trust, revision 1 by Scott Love.
(NOTE: Rated PG-13) Brett "Robby" Robinson embodies all the ideals of a Starcruiser Commander. He carries a lifetime of disciplined training and service on his decidedly broad shoulders. After all these years, he thought he truly knew himself. One assignment will change all of that.
